My Best Concert/Holiday

I find both of these topic extremely dificult. I have been on a lot of concerts and went to a lot of places for holidays, and i always have like, "best" parts, on every one of them. So, to solve the topic quickly, i think i'm going to go with the "best" concert. So, this is not really my "best" concert, as i have difficulties to make a choice, but i have really fond memories of the Rush concert of 2010.

There are a number of reason as to why i have fond memories of this band, one of them was because Rush had never come to this godforsaken country of ours up until that point (and probably will never come again 😩 *sigh*), and because i was learning to play drums and i really (and i mean it), REALLY loved progressive rock (still do, i just listen to more genres now). So the thing is that Rush was one of the first bands that i started listening and playing on High School, so their music was on my everyday playlist; and they have a lot of songs, and i mean a LOT, like 20 studio albums.

The thing with this concert was that it was going to be a really long show, and by the holy mother of god they where going to play my favorite album "Moving Pictures" on its entirety; for me it was like "i need to go, it is now or never". Luckily for me, my brother and my father also liked the band and that made it really easy to book it on our schedule as a trip of three (my mother didn't like concerts at all back on those days).

So we went, and we sure had a blast with them. They played like 30 songs, with some of them going around for like 8 minutes, and others like 15 minutes, so it was a really memorable concert. They played songs from a good variety of their discography, going from their older albums up to their lastest. My only regret was that i was not right up in front of the stage when the bass player ,and vocalist, Geddy Lee threw a teddy bear in the crowd, at that moment i was really far away, so i only saw teddy fly right throught the air and quickly disappearing into the crowd.

I still remember that when i returned to my hometown, one of my classmates (who also liked Rush very much) was very jelous of us, and hated himself for not going. I think he still hates himself as Rush had never come again. 😾
